Seminar for New Erasmus+ Grant Holders: Capacity-building projects in the field of higher education 2024 (26.11.2024, Kyiv)
On 26 November, 2024, the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine team held a training seminar focusing on the specifics of project implementation during wartime, fostering teamwork, and creating synergies among project teams. The event was held with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and in collaboration with the Institute of Higher Education of the NAESU.
Around 30 grant-holding coordinators of Erasmus+ CBHE projects participated in the seminar, including project managers, representatives of financial and economic departments of higher education institutions (HEIs), international cooperation units, and Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinators from universities that won the CBHE 2024 call.
The event was opened by Oleksandra HUSAK, Director-General of the Directorate of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of the Ministry of Education and Science, who delivered a welcome address.
Key speakers included Svitlana SHYTIKOVA, Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine, Zhanna TALANOVA, Deputy Coordinator and Analytical Manager, Coordinator of the Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE team), and Veronika TKACHENKO, Manager of the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine.
The speakers presented detailed guidelines on implementing projects under martial law, covering topics such as receiving and managing project funds (legislation and financial management), state registration of projects, and strategies to address challenges such as delays or disruptions in organizing events, payments, procurement of equipment, foreign currency transfers, and targeted use of funds.
Additionally, the speakers emphasized compliance with visibility requirements, dissemination of project information and results, quality assurance, and reporting to the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and national authorities.
During the seminar, representatives of grant-holding institutions briefly presented their projects, shared experiences, and received comprehensive answers to ensure successful project implementation.
